Ryan Interiors

This is a logo I created many years ago. After meeting with the client and discussing their ideas for the logo two factors emerged. The client wanted some sort of symbol put wanted to stay away from the usual images that might be associated with a painting and remodeling company. Paintbrushes, paint cans, tools and images along those lines were out. I was glad to hear this as I didn't want to create a brand that was typical and didn't stand out. They also wanted it to reflect that the majority of the company's work was interior painting.

After some mind mapping and a few conceptual sketches I came up with the idea of combining the letters "R" and "I" for a brand icon. The client liked the idea and the rest fell into place. I dropped the "T" and angled the logo to give it some action. For the font I chose a basic rounded letterform. As I was only creating the logo, and no other collateral, the font needed to be common and available to the client so they could us it on thier own for other applications.
